The purpose of the glitch resistor & fuse is to limit the current to a save value that not damage the tube and power supply in the event of flash-over, parasitic oscillation or short circuit.

The extra 4.7 nF capacitor improves the decoupling of RFC2 on the lower bands: 40 & 80 m.
